New to our jewelry boutique is our Chakra Energy Jewelry.  Beautiful dangle earrings with gemstones that represent each chakra.  The gemstones used in our chakra earrings are  red garnet, red jasper, citrine, malachite, turquoise, amethyst and clear quartz crystal.

We have chakra earrings with mystical charms and also simple chakra earrings with no charms, just gemstones.

A bit about Chakras:

Each chakra represents one of the major energy centers of the body.  Different emotions are linked with each of these energy centers.

Chakras are like spirals of energy, each one relating to the others.  For well being it is necessary to keep our chakras aligned and balanced to help maintain our body's own healing process.
If our energy centers become blocked or depleted, our body can not function properly and can lead to problems on any level (body, mind or spirit). 

It's believed that a Chakra responds to the energy produced by particular gemstones and are therefore thought to bring balance and alignment to these energy points in the body.

7th chakra - crown of head, spirituality
6th chakar - 3rd eye, vision
5th chakra - creativity, expression
4th chakra - heart, love
3rd chakra - solar plexus, power
2nd chakra - lower belly, emotions
1st chakra - base of spine, survival

Selene of 'Underworld'

Selene of 'Underworld'

Underworld is a movie film featuring vampires and werewolves, a dark film that's also a budding love story between Selene, a vampire and Michael, a werewolf.  You really get to see their love grow in the 2nd movie film in the series, "Evolution".

I love this part of the movie dialogue in Underworld, as it show Kraven being jealous that Selene is attracted to Michael.

Selene: Understand that Michael is somehow
important to the Lycans...

Kraven: So now it's "Michael"!

Selene:
Would you just hear me out?

Kraven:
It's beyond me why you're so
obsessed over this ridiculous theory.
Lucian wouldn't be a bit
interested in a human...
...Michael or otherwise.

Selene:
Wait a minute.

Kraven:
You're infatuated with him,
aren't you?

Selene:
Now, that's a ridiculous theory.

Kraven:
Is it?

Blueberry Cobbler

A nice summer time treat for your family.  Freshly picked blueberries made into a cobbler.

Blueberry Cobbler

2 c. Bisquick
3 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. milk (or water)
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 qt. blueberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place blueberries and butter in bottom of baking dish. Mix the rest of ingredients (Bisquick, milk or water, sugar and egg) and pour on top of blueberries. Bake until golden brown (about 20 to 30 minutes).

Quick and Easy Cobbler

1 c. Bisquick
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 can pie filling (your choice - cherry, apple, blueberry)

Mix together Bisquick, sugar and milk. Batter will be runny. Pour into round or square baking dish. Then pour pie filling on top evenly. Bisquick will bake over filling.
Bake at 400°F for 35-40 minutes or until brown on top. Top with vanilla ice cream.

S'mores Recipe

 

Campfire S'mores

Ingredients:

-Graham crackers, broken into squares (half a cracker)
-Chocolate bars, (plain milk chocolate) (get fun size and you wont have to break the chocolate into pieces to fit the graham cracker squares
-Large marshmallows

-Wood sticks or long metal skewers (for roasting the marshmallows)
-Bonfire, campfire, or fire pit

Take (1) large graham cracker and break it in half (one for top cracker and one for bottom cracker).
Place chocolate on one of the crackers.
Roast your marshmallow on a stick until golden brown and starting to get squishy.
Sandwich the marshmallow between the chocolate and the graham crackers press a little, then they are ready to eat.


S’more Turtles:
Graham crackers, caramel and milk chocolate, marshmallow, and whole pecan halves or use
Chocolate Pecan Caramel Turtle Candies & omit the caramel, milk chocolate and pecans.

Follow instructions of original recipe, but instead place chocolate and caramel candy on one of the graham crackers add to the caramel the pecan (this is optional).
